The Harvey Norman Approach

We simplify the building process by managing the complexities involved in turning building designs into a reality. 

We offer a practical and broad approach with residential and commercial services in architecture, project management and interior design. We manage the whole project from start to finish although we give clients the option to be get more involved if they choose.

about Ian Harvey

Ian Harvey, Director of Harvey Norman Architects - architecture services

Ian Harvey leads Harvey Norman Architects. He brings proven commercial, business and management experience that goes beyond the traditional architectural professionals boundaries. He is well versed in the requirements of speculative development and planning systems and has a strong track record in residential development. Ian is passionate about

  • Merging beautiful architectural and interior design with practicality

  • Providing high level project management for smooth project delivery

  • Achieving the desired look, feel and performance for buildings

  • Ensuring efficient and best value use of resources

  • Satisfying the differing needs of project stakeholders

Ian trained at the Kingston School of Architecture and is a qualified architect, project manager and urban designer. After working on residential and commercial projects for several renowned architectural design practices in London, including Cambell, Zogolovitch, Wilkinson & Gough Architects (CZWG), Ian moved to the Hertfordshire Cambridgeshire border and into the house building industry. Ian progressed to regional board level as Design Director of two national house builders including McCarthy & Stone and Bovis Homes.

Ian started Harvey Norman Architects in 2000. In 2004 he took a break from the business when his daughter was taken ill. He returned to the business in 2008 and since then it has grown mainly through referral. Harvey Norman Architects has become an established and respected residential and architectural practice.
